Perfect for the DVX100B and cameras in that size/weight range
It suits my needs perfectly. I store the shotgun mike in the outside pocket. I put my extra battery and tapes in one corner pocket and the lav mikes in the other. The rest of the minor stuff (charger etc) fits perfectly in the large side pocket.

The camera is perfectly stable and held down by a strap. The packaging all round is sturdy foam.

If you’re thinking of carrying this for regular shoots with your tripod et all, it’s a good idea to buy this but if you’re hiking or wandering through and just want to pull your camera out for shooting on the run, you’re better off purchasing a backpack case. KATA has some pretty good options in that area as well.

For long term storage of your equipment, buy a steel case - the Panasonic one that’s specially moulded for your DVX100B.

    Good Quality Buy!
Well I just got this bag for my Panasonic ag-dvx100b and it works great! I will say straight away however I have only had this for a few days, but from what I’ve seen, it works amazingly. The bag’s corners are very rigid to protect it from even moderate hits and the material the outside walls are made of seem very durable. The inside is a nice yellow padding felt like fabric with three dividers. two horizontal shorter ones, and a long one that runs the whole length of the bag. The strap is large and very comfortable, spreading the weight of a possibly heavy camera. All in all this bag looks like it will protect your equipment from certain degrees of pain. It is no metal case, so don’t sit on it or toss it, yet for what you pay it will give you a very nice sense of security with easy access and comfort.

    Great Bag for the Price
This camcorder bag works perfectly for my Canon XH A1. It’s big and roomy and has plenty of storage for extras. It’s been my carry-on at the airport a number of times and the shoulder strap is very comfortable. My one qualm and reason for the 4 star rating is that it lacks a solid bottom layer. It would have been a lot nicer if they would have just used some firm plastic for the bottom of this thing, but instead its just fabric and padding. I think if I ever dropped the bag and it landed on concrete, it might cause damage. But that’s what I get for buying a soft-case. You just have to be a bit more careful with it.

    Better than Expected
I just bought this for the Canon XH A1 HDV Camera (which I haven’t had a chance to fit into this bag yet, as it just arrived). First impression is that it’s better than expected. It’s larger, more cushioned, has an excellent shoulder strap, has an internal camera strap for when it’s being transported, and the internal dividers are better than I expected. I was worried that it would be more basic (just a shell), but those worries were unfounded. It also has a side slot for holding a Tripod, which I wasn’t aware of.

All in all, I think this is the right bag (I didn’t want a hard case, as they’re difficult to carry around the streets, unless you’re driving right up to the show site).

    Annoying mostly
I bought this bag for my Panasonic AG-DVX100B. If fits fine. It has enough padding. Shoulder strap and carrying handle are good. My dislikes are that it does not have enough separate zippered compartments. Only one on the side. The big inside pouch for the camera has little velcro walls that are moveable, which is not as good as zippered compartments for tapes, batteries, etc. Decent bag, but it wastes a lot of space.

Part of a history of a bygone way of thinking
In the past, the Smithsonian collections of Old-Time Radio were packaged in boxes of cassettes or CDs with 3 radio shows on each but with slight abridgments on the CDs to meet the 79-minute limitation of that format. Later, Radio Spirits was good enough to issue new collections on both formats, giving each CD only two complete shows instead of three shortened ones.

The latest entry, , holds only 10 cassettes or 10 CDs in the case with two shows on each. (The tapes are very awkwardly packaged, making it difficult to remove them if you are driving.) But though there is less material, there are plenty of laughs to go around. Mind you, there are already available Smithsonian collections with the same performers –”Comedy From the Golden Age of Radio,” “Comedy Favorites,” and “Showbiz Teams”– but Radio Spirits has been careful not to duplicate anything from those selected for the earlier offerings.

“The Abbott & Costello Program” gives us two 1944 shows, the first of which is highlighted by a Who’s-on-first-type verbal mixup over the names of dogs and the second of which has Lou revisit his old school in Patterson, NJ. While “The Amos ‘n’ Andy Show” might no longer be politically correct, we have two hilarious shows from 1951, the first of which is a gem of the “best laid plans often go astray” variety. The 1940 “Burns and Allen Show” entries are strangely weak. Could it be because they lack the familiar theme song at the start? The “Duffy’s Tavern” 1949 samples are very funny, with special thanks to Sheldon Leonard in his usual tough-guy role and Charles Coburn as an aged cardshark. “Fibber McGee and Molly” never seem to change and these 1945 shows are pretty much as weakly plotted but energetically acted as the one offered in the other sets. “The Great Gildersleeve” is notable for being one of the earliest known spin-offs from another show. Unhappily it is just another example of how a man trying to run a family cannot run his own life. Only the women seem to have any sense, at least back in 1947 when these were broadcast. “The Jack Benny Progam” is always good and these two from 1946 are no exception. His confrontation with Fred Allen is predictably side-splitting, as is his confrontation with a surreal radio set.Dagwood Bumstead around, the ultimate bumbling head of the household has to be the lead in “The Life of Riley.” Here William Bendix tries to do the right thing in the completely wrong way in both of these 1948 episodes.character of “Lucy” was well established way before she and Desi made television history. Here we have two 1948 airings of “My Favorite Husband” in which Liz’s lies in the first and an April Fool’s gag in the second naturally and predictably lead to disaster. And finally we have two 1955 examples of “Our Miss Brooks,” one of which deals with vacationing with her heart-throb Mr. Boynton and the other with her thinking that Principal Conklin is down on his luck.

Again, these very popular shows have a great historical value in their celebration of the middle class family values that permeated the post-war and Eisenhower years and the assumption that Father did not know best–be he black or white, mind you–while the female was in every way superior. Such is the essence of comedy–and if you sometimes wonder why the audience is laughing as you hear these old-time shows, just examine what passes for humor today.

    I’d recommend this to others
I loved the style of writing.

This book shaves finances down to the basics. It made money management extremely easy to understand and entertained me at the same time!

Babylon sounds a lot like Bakersfield
The Richest Man in Babylon was first published in 1929 by George S. Clayson, but written as if it had been translated from tablets taken from the ancient city of Babylon. Though the device is similar to something H.P. Lovecraft would use to establish credibility in a horror story, here it lends weight to his lessons and principles about how to create wealth. The basic principle boils down to save a dime from every dollar, but there are more nuggets of useful advice that would work wonders if you would but follow them faithfully.

It is a bit jarring to the modern ear when Clayson talks of slaves and slavery, but when you think of it, being in debt instead of saving and having your savings and investments working for you is a kind of financial slavery. Like the ‘drinking gourd’ in the sky, if you follow the principles set forth in ‘The Richest Man in Babylon’ it will free you from the shackles of debt.

I liked the last part where it described how Babylon was able to flourish despite not being a major port and not even having lots of natural resources such as forests or minerals. Through an ingenious system of irrigation and hard work, as well as systems of writing and record keeping, Babylon became a center of commerce. Kind of like Bakersfield, I’m thinking.

    Richest Woman in Bakersfield
I am not the richest woman in Bakersfield–yet! But with the help of this and other books I have been reading lately, I should get there soon. This is a short and enjoyable read, as it is written as if it were taking place in ancient Babylon, but the timeless principles still apply today.

An example from the book is to save one tenth of everything you earn, and then put your savings to work so that money will earn more money in investments that aren’t too risky.

Reduce to 2 pages and I’m in!
I’ll sum this book up for you in one sentence, “put 10% of everything you make in savings and then make your money earn you more money that doesn’t require additional effort from you.” The rest of the book just repeats this moto. The book does supply a fun story about Babylon, but if you are strictly interested in financial advice, the book doesn’t go beyond the basics of saving. A good read for most Americans who have been entranced by credit card companies and over look the piggy bank, but for the financially responsible, I wouldn’t recommend unless you want a good story about Babylon.

Seemingly obvious advice, but often overlooked
The book is a quick and enjoyable read. A lot of the financial advice in this book seems pretty obvious, but many people have no concept of saving money, working hard, and living frugally. The book also mentions that you should invest your money under the advice of wiser men so that it is working for you.

Overall, the book delivered its message very clearly. I would also recommend it for teenagers, since it contains excellent principles to build a good financial mindset upon.
