    Customer Reviews:
Pep’s Birthday Suprise - Pretty good (too many bad reviews! YIKES! Escape the bad reviews!)
I used to feel bad about it even before I played it because of the plot. It felt like it ruined my Action Peps stories (see Putt-Putt Time Travels and Putt-Putt Circus reviews). But when we got it from the library, it was great! But it’s real different. Putt-Putt’s voice is different. Putt’s voice changed a lot because it also changed in Putt-Putt Joins the Circus. Also, different glovebox and image of Pep in glovebox. (Why does he keep Pep in his glovebox anyway? I don’t think it’s good to put ALIVE DOGS in gloveboxes.) Well, let’s say it’s not all that bad, just different. But, just because it’s different dosen’t mean it dosen’t remember when it wasn’t different; in the preview where he’s telling Mr. Kibble, the pet feed shop owner, about Pep not having any parties, Putt-Putt thinks and the thinking bubble has a preview from Putt-Putt Joins the Parade, the first Putt-Putt ever, where he gets Pep, and in the invatation song two cards slide across with 2 previews on them, one from Putt-Putt Time and one from Race. (We only played Race once @ friend’s house). Only I have a TERRIBLE complaint: I reccomend you put it window by clicking Menu>Options because Windows Logo key and Alt+Ctrl+Del dosen’t help! Only Alt+F4 and in the credits young kids could get frustrated cuz’ they can’t quit! They don’t know bout’ Alt+F4! Signed, StoryMaker. “Gotta trust the kid’s review!”

    Not a worthy addition
My children (3& 5) are huge Putt-Putt fans. My older one has ‘graduated’ to Putt-Putt Travels Through Time, the most challenging and imho, best designed of them all.

Putt Putt : Pep’s Birthday Surprise is slow, clunky and poorly designed.

It is as if marketing over-compensated for the complex _Travels through Time_ game (which has received complaints for it’s complexity) and removed anything remotely challenging.

Putt-Putt must complete serveral tasks to prepare for Pep’s birthday surprise. Before he completes each task he must distract Pep so he can talk in private with the other characters.

The most annoying example of this is when Putt Putt brings the ingredients for the cake to the baker. Putt Putt must ask Pep to fetch hot chocolate each time he wants to give the baker an ingredient and before he decorates the cake.

This is a waste of time, and is sloppy programming.

There are also a few glaring bugs. For example, after Putt Putt catches run away rabbits at the firestation(he must return them to their home, the magician’s hat), they inexplicably are still running around until he gives the hat back to the magician.

This is a simple bug which should have been caught in testing.

I highly recommend Putt Putt goes to the Moon for 3-5 year olds (the apartment matrix is ingenious! It introduces the concept of a matrix in a fun way!), Putt Putt Enters the Race for 3-5 year olds, Putt Putt Saves the Zoo for 3-4 year olds, Putt Putt saves the Circus for 3-5 year olds and Putt Putt Travels Through Time for 5-7 year olds.

Check out the Freddi Fish series as well.

I recommend you don’t waste your money on this game!

    Putt-Putt come back!
My daughter (and I) have loved Putt-Putt. Particularly “goes to the zoo” and “racetrack” games. This game just does not run as well. It is slow and the speech is choppy. The voice of Putt-Putt has changed and not really for the better. I wish I would have read the reviews here before purchasing it. Everything the previous reviewers have said is true.

Buy Putt-Putt Enters the Race Instead!
Pep’s Birthday Surprise is a definite let-down from Putt-Putt Enters the Race! The major flaw in the software is that the game is less open-ended and too full of animated scenes … the charm of the Putt-Putt games is that kids are encouraged to use critical thinking skills and to figure out (sometimes obscure) problems. These features are curtailed in this particular game, as if the designers have lost faith in their audience’s ability to problem solve and to do multi-step reasoning … A minor but disconcerting feature is that Putt-Putt’s voice has dropped in pitch, which will prove very distracting to Putt-Putt parent veterans!

    Stepford Putt
We had to install this on an XP account with privileges, and we still have no confidence it will not bomb. We gave up trying to install on Windows 2000 and 98 systems.

It takes forever to get through the scene chat. Our children are really patient; this is the first time we’ve felt compelled to use the Enter key to end the character chats.

The bonhomie is missing. Even down to the choice of Putt’s voice. Putt used to seem about 7 years old, and now he sounds like his voice is about to change.

Putt used to be an innocent little guy, helpful and kind, but in this game, he must constantly get rid of Pep in order to discuss the party with co-conspirators. In most scenes, you must first click on Pep so that Putt-Putt can tell him to “go play with your friend”, out the door, unsupervised…

Better to buy “Enters the Race” first, then try “Zoo”, “Circus”, “Moon”, and “Parade”.

Women’s Wenger Swiss Army Bicolor Watch
    It’s beautiful!

The coloring is very nice, stainless steel and gold, you can wear both kinds of jewelry with it. Simple classic design, nice to out on the town or go to the beach. Very happy thank you. ALOHA!!!

    Absolutely beautiful…
I was very surprised at how fast I received my watch. I was even more surprised at how beautiful it is. I’ve been looking at these watches for a long time and was a little hesitant in buying it online without actually looking at it on my arm and holding it in my hand. When I opened the box, I was so excited when I saw how lovely is it. You won’t be making a bad decision if you decide to get this watch. I guarantee it.

    Great look & great watch!
I just bought one of these somewhere else that is out of stock so I was checking online to see if Amazon carried them (because I loved mine so much I wanted to get one for my sister!!). Don’t let the ‘army’ association fool you, this is a really pretty, expensive looking watch (waterproof too). I just love mine! (just a word of caution: this watch is a bit chunky in style, which I personally like. Its not a real delicately styled watch, but it has a very pretty finish to the metals, really rich looking!)

    classy utilitarian
This watch is sharp looking, sturdy and lightweight. It has a strong double latch clasp. I returned my expensive Aquaracer to get this one so I could beat it up in the garden and not worry about it. This price is better than the dept. stores, even with a sale and a coupon.

Great watch at a great price.
I couldn’t be happier with the Wenger. Beautiful face, a nice clean look, and performs very well. Well worth the price.

    Customer Reviews:
Perfect for the DVX100B and cameras in that size/weight range
It suits my needs perfectly. I store the shotgun mike in the outside pocket. I put my extra battery and tapes in one corner pocket and the lav mikes in the other. The rest of the minor stuff (charger etc) fits perfectly in the large side pocket.

The camera is perfectly stable and held down by a strap. The packaging all round is sturdy foam.

If you’re thinking of carrying this for regular shoots with your tripod et all, it’s a good idea to buy this but if you’re hiking or wandering through and just want to pull your camera out for shooting on the run, you’re better off purchasing a backpack case. KATA has some pretty good options in that area as well.

For long term storage of your equipment, buy a steel case - the Panasonic one that’s specially moulded for your DVX100B.

    Good Quality Buy!
Well I just got this bag for my Panasonic ag-dvx100b and it works great! I will say straight away however I have only had this for a few days, but from what I’ve seen, it works amazingly. The bag’s corners are very rigid to protect it from even moderate hits and the material the outside walls are made of seem very durable. The inside is a nice yellow padding felt like fabric with three dividers. two horizontal shorter ones, and a long one that runs the whole length of the bag. The strap is large and very comfortable, spreading the weight of a possibly heavy camera. All in all this bag looks like it will protect your equipment from certain degrees of pain. It is no metal case, so don’t sit on it or toss it, yet for what you pay it will give you a very nice sense of security with easy access and comfort.

    Great Bag for the Price
This camcorder bag works perfectly for my Canon XH A1. It’s big and roomy and has plenty of storage for extras. It’s been my carry-on at the airport a number of times and the shoulder strap is very comfortable. My one qualm and reason for the 4 star rating is that it lacks a solid bottom layer. It would have been a lot nicer if they would have just used some firm plastic for the bottom of this thing, but instead its just fabric and padding. I think if I ever dropped the bag and it landed on concrete, it might cause damage. But that’s what I get for buying a soft-case. You just have to be a bit more careful with it.

    Better than Expected
I just bought this for the Canon XH A1 HDV Camera (which I haven’t had a chance to fit into this bag yet, as it just arrived). First impression is that it’s better than expected. It’s larger, more cushioned, has an excellent shoulder strap, has an internal camera strap for when it’s being transported, and the internal dividers are better than I expected. I was worried that it would be more basic (just a shell), but those worries were unfounded. It also has a side slot for holding a Tripod, which I wasn’t aware of.

All in all, I think this is the right bag (I didn’t want a hard case, as they’re difficult to carry around the streets, unless you’re driving right up to the show site).

    L8r

    Annoying mostly
I bought this bag for my Panasonic AG-DVX100B. If fits fine. It has enough padding. Shoulder strap and carrying handle are good. My dislikes are that it does not have enough separate zippered compartments. Only one on the side. The big inside pouch for the camera has little velcro walls that are moveable, which is not as good as zippered compartments for tapes, batteries, etc. Decent bag, but it wastes a lot of space.
