    Customer Reviews:
Terrible product, batteries don’t charge properly, would give negative stars if I could
This product works very poorly, especially if you are attempting to use rechargeable batteries. I’d say 80% of the time when I try to recharge it, it is unsuccessful and I have to totally discharge and recharge the batteries — which takes more than 8 hours. And sometimes even the total discharge-recharge cycle does not work.

The quality of the pictures is not great either — using the zoom lens to the slightest degree will result in blurry pictures.

In addition, Kodak’s customer service/support is just terrible. Just before I special occasion I ordered new batteries and paid extra for rapid shipping. Turns out the batteries were backordered, so they weren’t shipped until after the occasion. But by the time they told me about this, they said it was too late to cancel the order. So I ended up spending an extra $15 for two-day shipping for a product I didn’t get for two weeks. I tried to contact them to complain, and they sent an automatically generated email saying they’d get back to me in 8 hours. Well, it has been more than 8 weeks, and I’ve sent multiple other emails, and have yet to get a response.

Decent camera, but what’s up with the price??
Why is Amazon selling a camera for $198.89 when Kodak’s MSRP is US $139.00? According to the specs, this camera does not include the printer dock, so it’s not the combo price.

Great Little Own the Go Camera
I’ve been using this camera for a about 2 months now and over all its a pretty nice digital camera. Only real complaint I have is finding another USB locally. For the life of me I cant find mine and the port is so little that none of my other millions of adaptors will work. Overall a nice around time, quick snap shots of the kids camera.

    Beware of the Repair
$ I just sent my camera in for repair to a location recommended by Kodak. I just received an estimate of $85.00 plus shipping, to repair the MCU, whatever that is. Anyway, as all may already know, this camera can be purchased here on Amazon for $95.00. So you be the judge. This camera should be advertised as a “disposable camera”. When it costs more to repair something than to replace, it’s usually called junk. Never again Kodak. Once burnt twice shy.

    I like it…
I got this camera for my birthday, it works really well! Not very expensive, takes [usually] clean photos, but lighting can sometimes be difficult. Video is good, but no sound. =(

Good for teenagers, if it’s lost/broken you’re not out a lot of money, small enough to keep with you, easy to use, and great for pictures of you & friends. I would definetly recommend it.

(PS, we got one for my grandpop’s birthday too, and he understands the basics. Not hard to learn)

    I must be nuts!
I purchased the set last week. When I first got them in my ears, fine fit, I noticed the limited range. I thought like a lot of drivers, they needed to be broken in. Well I left them plugged in my MP3 and was hoping for a change. Let me preface the review that I have had many earphone/buds and headphones. I have a basis for good and the bad. Nice for me were the V-Moda (lost), Sonys (cord disintegrated), JVCs (fine, but asymetrical cables drove me nuts) and the list goes on. The Griffins just plain sucked. Not the worst I have heard, but the top end and low end had left the building. I have a set of Philips that have been abused, they are wonderful next to these. I don’t know who is reviewing these, but if you think these were great, boy do you have a future ahead of you discovering all of the better ones. I don’t believe these are defective. I do know that some of the diaphrams can deform under with compressed air or a vacumm, these were not. Sometimes these can be resolved, and sometimes it can be the kiss of death for them. The diaphrams are so delicate nowadays. So, I am happy to all that enjoy theirs, but for me they are a mistaken purchase. Earphones bought over Amazon are a dicey thing. An objective website reviewing all possible earphones would be a great reference point.

    they like to play loud.
I’ve been on a quest for better sound & fit, these were about my 8th ear/headphones purchased in the last few mnths. Wasn’t expecting much and until I turned em up it’s what I got. The Earthumps are average at low volumes. But they like to play loud. They’re definitely the best sounding $30.& under earphones I’ve tried. And they stay in my ear.+++

    Good value for this product
I’ve been using these for about 2 weeks now; and I use them daily when I exercise. I mainly listen to podcasts with these earbuds, and they work very well. They do supress ambient noise, but not enough so as to be hazardous when you need to listen for cars as you walk on the street, or to cyclists when walking on the trail. The medium size earbuds fit me best and they do not fall out of my ears. Additionally, they are comfortable for extended periods of time. I would definitely recommend them.

The perfect earbuds with headphone quality sound
I got an iPod a few years back and hated the crappy earbuds it came with. The iPod earbuds don’t fit my ears so I went through several brands looking for the perfect fit, decent price, and sound quality… I love my griffin earbuds, they’re perfect! Amazing sound, great base, and no unstable noises you’d hear on crappy Philips or iPod earbuds.

I’m currently on my third pair. I think they could be improved though, maybe better wires because it lasts about a year or a year and a half and then I’m back on eBay getting a new pair for $9. I want to see the Griffin EarThumps on retail racks at Fry’s, Target, or Office Depot, it’s hard to find them :-( They’re like a hidden secret and I’m surprized Griffin isn’t doing anything about marketing them like their other iPod gear.

    These are the greatest!
I love these ear thumps. I can’t stand the Apple ones that come with the ipod and iphone…they just don’t fit my ears.

I ordered my first pair about 2 years ago and they are still going strong. Ordered this pair for my husband to use on the plane. My sister has a pair too. I think they are the best and least expensive out there. And….the little case is great for the adaptor you have to get for the iphone (recessed headset spot…so needs an adaptor for most headphones, other than Apple’s of course!).

    Customer Reviews:
    Great Lens for Price
A significant improvement over the older Tamron units. Good to excellent when two or more f stops applied. Slight purple fringing on highly backlighted subjects but easily removed in post processing. Overall, highly reccommended.

    lens for the money
I am really impressed with this lens for the money. I would like something faster and quicker focussing would also be an advantage as sometimes shots of wildlife are lost in the hunting for focus, it can be quicker to use manual.

The images are very sharp and the colours are very true with almost a Fuji film type effect - quite vivid and bright but remaining true to life. I really like this lens.

If you spend most of your time at the wide end and need a long telephoto less often but want sharp images when you do then this in one to consider. Its made me rethink Tamron as a serious contender again.

    Monster Lens
Quality product, extremely versatile lens, moderately priced, a welcome addition for my Sony DSLR A-100.

    Great dual function lens
I wanted a new macro and telephoto lens for my Sony Alpha 100 but couldn’t afford to buy both. But with this lens, a flip of the switch allows you to take some very nice close-up shots and the telephoto focus is very clear for a 300mm. I am very pleased with the performance and the price. I will try other Tamron lens now that I have seen what this one is capable of.

Awesome lens at a bargain price
When my old Sigma 70-300mm lens died this summer, I wondered if I’d be able to replace it with anything I liked as well. I’d used it with my Minolta SLR camera for years, and then for a couple of months with my new Sony DSLR, and it had performed beautifully. But this Tamron lens far exceeded my expectations. It is relatively lightweight, yet feels sturdy enough to stand up to hard use. The focus is sharp and quick, and it works very well with Sony’s Super Steady Shot feature (essential for me since I don’t use a tripod). Pictures shot in macro mode are gorgeous, once I got used to the minimum focal distance. And the price of the Tamron lens is a real bargain when compared to other lenses that work with Sony DSLRs. I’m a pretty good amateur photographer, and I’m picky about the quality of my equipment, but I don’t want to spend more than I need to. This lens is just what I needed.

Excellent - work like a charm
it work just like a charm, just what I needed for my LCD TV and my DVD player that’s need a 6 feet HDMI

    Great product!
I use this cable with my XBox 360 and it works flawlessly. I paid just under $5 dollars for this plus shipping and it is such a great value. You won’t be disappointed!

    Why pay more?
I see no difference in this cable (cheap) than my $60.00 cable from Monster. Digital cable is Digital cable. Don’t waste your gas money on expensive cables buy these and you will be very happy. You can’t go wrong.

    Excelent Cable
dont be fooled by the $30+ cables out there. this one is excelent and works flawlessly all for $5 shipped. no need for useless extrac packging and marketing. this cable comes held together with a twist tie, plastic caps on the connectors (and they are gold plated..beat that Monster Cables), and in a plain clear plastic bag packed in a bubble wrap envelope. do you really need anything else? nope!

i orderd this on a saturday and it arrived the following wendsday. plugged one end in my PS3 and the other in my Samsung LCD, turned them both on and the PS3 instantly recognized the cable and i was playing Ninja Gaiden Sigma in 1080p.

Awesome cable for a Great Price
Took a chance on this $2 HDMI cable and its mind blowing how great it is. I compared it to my friends Sony HDMI cable and saw no difference in quality from his $70 Sony cable and this $2 cable. This cable is great for the money. Definitely getting your moneys worth with this cable.

    Excellent product, excellent price.
I was looking for a good wireless keyboard/mouse combo for my PS3 in the living room. Once I had good placement of the receiver unit, I had no issues with reception. Now using the PS3 browser and entering text into game profile setups are a breeze. No more using the hunt and peck system with the PS3 controller for text!!

If you’re looking for a good wireless keyboard and mouse on a budget, look no further.

    A poor man’s Dinovo Edge?
I own the fantastic Logitech Dinovo Edge for use at home with my Media Center PC. The Edge is so great, that I found I could no longer live with the basic keyboard that came with my work computer. However, I could not bring myself to buy another Edge for work, as it just cost too much, and doesn’t have a keypad, which I use at work often.

So I went looking at other Logitech products, initially thinking about the last generation Dinovo keyboard. However, even the old Dinovo was way too much. Then I found this one, which seemed very simalar to the older Dinovo and could be found much cheaper ($23 refurb). I was sold!

Now that I have the keyboard, I can say that it is nowhere near as nice as the Dinovo Edge. The keystrokes are good, but not great. For some reason, the left side of the keyboard seems more “clanky” than the right. Overall the keys are not quite. However, typing effort is low and I can type very well on it. It is a major upgrade over the standard keyboard.

There is one aspect of the keyboard that is better then the Edge, the extra keys. They are more practical than the Edge, using rocker keys instead of touch or small button controls. Also, the key to bring out the extra features of the function keys toggles, something I wish the Edge did. With the Edge you have to hold down the function key while pressing the desired function key.

Overall it does the job for my work keyboard. The mouse is, like others said, junk. I have been using a Logitech MX518 corded mouse, and will keep using it.

VERY slim and beautiful keyboard, but fatty mouse
VERY slim and beautiful keyboard, but fatty mouse. The combo comes with 2 AAs and 2 AAAs batteries. The AAA batteries are for the keyboard, not the mouse! It’s usually the other way around. Good entry level wireless combo for HTPC

A trick to increase the range: when I place the receiver in the position it’s suppose to be (like this: /), I only get 6 feet range. But if I put the receiver upside down (like this: V ) I get more than 12 feet! not sure why. 4 stars given because of needing this weird trick

    Good Basic Wireless Keyboard
I wanted this mostly as an alternative to the DiNovo, so this worked out well enough. The mouse is your average cheap appliance, and will be replaced by an MX Revolution as soon as Amazon ships it. Speaking of which, the only problem I have with the shipment is the shoddy job at packing it up, but the set arrived in working condition despite being completely on TOP of the packing paper.

The keyboard is thin and attractive, but doesn’t feel flimsy. It seems quite sturdy, and with my history using Logitech products, should last until I get bored and want a new one. I didn’t install the drivers that accompanied it, but the music (and other buttons) worked just fine, launching my default media player. Highly recommended for a functional set at a very reasonable price.

    Great Keyboard
This keyboard is awesome. I have had it for over a year now and only have had to replace the batteries once. It has great range! The hotkeys are excellent and make changing through songs so much easier (note to winamp users: you usually have to go to preferences to enable the hot keys to work for winamp.) There are only two downsides to this keyboard/mouse set. 1. The keyboard cant fast-forward, only skips through songs. 2. Range could be longer. These two problems are very insignificant as the range itself is already pretty long, and fastforwarding isnt important.

    Customer Reviews:
    Beware
I’ve had this camera for 6 months. 4 of those months have been spent fighting with Sony to service it.

    Stay far, far, far away.

    great, but could be better…
Overall, this maybe be the best non-professional camcorder I’ve personally ever seen, maybe disconsidering only the gs-500, but I was still amazed by the picture quality, and specially, by the vivid and strong colors that the camera providaded, which everybody told me I should expect the opposite… But it’s not a perfect camcorder, far from that. The Handycam station, though a conceptually great idea, is incredibly irritating to use, not only because of the fact that it doesn’t effectively lock at the camcorder, leaving it open for many outcoming risky situations, but also because it makes impossible to hold the camera over a tripod and connected to some source at the same time. Also is important to say that, despite the fact that the Touchscreen provides possibly many more ressources of menu in the camera, it is also very uncomfortable to be greasing the lcd screen with the finger all the time and to make contorcionism in some situations to be able to reach the menu.

Except for those facts, and an extra compleinment about the few-button remote control which makes it pratically unuseful, it’s a grat piece of recording machine and I would recomend it to anyone willing to have the best movie-like experience!

    Really enjoy the camcorder
I bought this product to replace an aging JVC miniDV recorder and am absolutely thrilled. We used it to record a focus group sitting around a table in dim light (using the sony bluetooth microphone) and had excellent results both visually and audio-wise.

We also recorded our greyhounds doing their chasing after things thing and the camera had no trouble keeping up with them.

Much improvement over the old JVC.

Can’t wait to use it for some upcoming seminars and some utube stuff.

    good family camera
This is the first digital camcorder I’ve owned. It replaced our old analog Canon. I researched cameras for months before I decided on the Canon Elura, which very shortly after became very hard to find. We are on a budget, and I wanted the most bang for my buck. So I researched for several more weeks and decided on the Sony DCR-HC96 MiniDV. I wanted to stick with the MiniDV format based on the reported superior video quality (of which I have not been disappointed…much better than our analog), and also because I have many analog cassettes I wanted to transfer to digital. This was one of my main purchasing requirements and this particular camera advertises the analog-to-digital passthrough. However, I have not been able to do the transfers because I would have to still be able to play the analog tapes on the old camera while the transfer is taking place, and our old camera doesn’t work anymore which is why we were in the market in the first place. So I’m disappointed about that and will have to figure out another way to play the tapes while they are connected to the new technology.

Other than that, I have been pleased with the camera. The only other things I can think of after using it for a few months are: it needs a light!!! Still photo quality is okay, not great; would be better with a light. I will have to (eventually) purchase one for the shoe. Zoom under the right hand placement is a little too sensitive (my Canon had the same kind of toggle switch, but much better sensitivity). A lot of reviews I read stated more than a lack of enthusiasm for the LCD panel. I don’t mind it at all and didn’t think it was that bad. Of course, I read the instruction manual from cover to cover and played with the functions a while to get used to everything before I did any serious recording. The only disadvantage I have found with it is when I am trying to edit the bank of still shots (I only recently purchased my video card) the LCD buttons cover up the bottom of the photo and I can’t tell sometimes if it’s a keeper or not, especially if it’s a closeup. Too much of the face is covered up by the buttons.

I am a mother of three young children and overall this camera serves my needs. I would purchase this camera again. Hopefully, though, in the future Sony will make a few improvements to make an even better camera in this price range.

    An almost perfect choice
Spent weeks researching which camcorder to get and decided on this one. Why? The large sensor (1/3″), the MiniDV tape format, the hot shoe for either external mic or video light…and the almost universal positive reviews. Do not regret getting it at all, but here are the things that I found lacking…most solved by some ingenuity and throwing more money at Project Camcorder.

After I got it, read reviews for the few Sony mics that would work with the hot shoe, and nobody seemed impressed. Oops. However, I bought a mic jack adaptor that fits onto the hot shoe, so I can connect an external mic of my choice. So got a used shotgun and found cabled workaround to use my Olympus stereo digital voice recorder as an external mic. Realized with iMovie that I could even record the audio track separately on the voice recorder (say for a seminar speaker) and replace the soundtrack in iMovie. That would free the hot shoe for a video lamp. Anyway, so far I’ve worked around all shortcomings, even to using a portable dvd player as a large video monitor.

I hope to keep working with the camera, but so far am so satisfied with the picture quality under all circumstances that I have not gone beyond the Easy Mode. I do not do large long programs, but short YouTube programs, and mostly shoot short video segments that are edited together. The still feature is nice also, to get sharper still images to work into the program. Would buy the camcorder again, and might buy another one day to for “two-camera” work.

    Philips DVP-3120: An in-depth review
I have this DVD player and I love it. Now I watch all my movies and TV shows on it. It’s a shame it doesn’t play HD-DVD or Blu-ray Disc formats, I really want to enjoy the new technology.

I have over 3,000 DVDs now including movies, a Britney Spears concert in Las Vegas and some TV series like, for example, Alias, Lost, Heroes, Desperate Housewives, 24, etc.

As I said before, it’s a shame it doesn’t play HD-DVD or Blu-ray Disc formats, I really want to enjoy the new technology.

Well, that’s it for my review of the DVP-3120 from Phlips. There ya go!

    Multi-region playback is in!!
I could hardly believe that my new DVD player actually plays all regions until I hooked it up to my letterbox TV after coming back home from my European vacation. It appears that it actually came around the first week I was gone, just when I though it would come before I left. What a relief!! Believe it or not, it works really well on my American, German and Chinese DVDs. In fact, I was able to watch the DVD I had bought almost 3 months ago and I love it. I give the Philips staff all the best and have faith they can make their next line of equipment even better.

    So far So Good
Just received this unit thru Fed Ex, plugged it in and played my new Status Quo, Doin it live, it worked perfect, & I didnt’ have to put in any codes for this 2,3,4,& 5 region dvd. It also plays region 1 good also. I ordered & received it within 4 days.

    A Waste of Money
The performance of our DVP3140 was spotty right from the beginning. At first we blamed an occasional disc, but over time it has become obvious that this player has “issues.” Even brand new, flawless discs — both commercial releases and PC-burned content — will yield anything from random artifacts to intermittent freeze-ups. In terms of enjoyment, the DVP3140’s worth quickly goes right through the floor. I don’t plan to buy another Philips product ever again.

Plays well-like the other Phillips DVD players
I bought this player for my best friend as a birthday present. I had bought two region free players last year–both were the discontinued Phillips 640 model–and they have worked fine. I bought this one from a dealer as a refurbished model; when my friend opened it and when we put in the DVD (that I’d purchased from the UK) it did not play. I immediately checked the Amazon website and thanks to one of the reviews I was able to get it to play the UK discs and the ones bought here in the US as well. I know my friend is happy because she can now see the Bad Girls series without having to wait for it to crawl by every week on one of the cable channels. This is a very good choice for a region free player and also works well as the “everyday” player for your movie watching as well.

Excellent TV! You get what you pay for.
I purchased this TV for 1889 and when Amazon lowered it for 1799 (3 days later), they promptly adjusted the price! CEVA delivered it FASTER than I thought. I was able to schedule a delivery and received it 7 days EARLY! The delivery guy hooked it up so I can test it for any issues. So far so good. The delivery guy suggest I keep the box for 2 weeks just in case any issue occurs. My kids love the TV! The colors are amazing and even though the shows are 60hz (I’ll be picking up a Blu-ray to use the 120Hz in full capacity!), its so clear and the contrast is as black as ebony! I’m glad I got the Samsung over the Sony Bravia. I first saw this tv in action from my sister’s house and was very impressed! So far Im happy with this TV.

    I can’t rave enough!
Great 3-D looking picture!! It takes a little getting used to.. I found myself focusing more on the picture detail I hadn’t seen before instead of actually watching the show! The amazon price was $900 less than my local BB. Delivery was awesome. They carried the tv up two flights of stairs, unpacked and confirmed functionality.. and I got a free upconverting dvd player with purchase!! you can’t beat it! This tv has many great features too!

I bought my samsung LNT4671F 3 months ago and it is beyond all my expectations, the picture quality is amazing. I have only one problem with the TV that it is getting to a lock up state when I change the source from one HDMI to another. The lock up is solved only when I do hard reset. Does anyone experience this problem and have any idea how I can solve it ? (possibly new firmware)

    Thanks,

    Rammy

    Great LCD TV!
I have had this tv for a couple of months now and I absolutlty love this product. High quality, best bang for the buck! Amazon’s service was also excellent in delivery and set-up.

I don’t see any need to repeat all the raves on picture quality and delivery service.

A very nice feature I didn’t see mentioned was Wiselink. The Samsung has a USB port in the rear. Plug in your USB drive loaded with jpg files or mp3 files. If you have the tele feeding your audio system for home theatre, you click on Wiselink, go through a few setup screens and your mp3 titles are displayed on screen and you can listen to them through your stereo system.

With jpg files you can do a slide slow. Quite nice if you would like to do a slide show of your last vacation. You’ll see all the jpg files in thumbnail view pick where you want to start and view the slide show. One vary annoying problem though. Portrait formats don’t display in full screen; you get an error message. I spent a half hour with Samsung tech support, who I think was more interested in getting rid of me than actually trying to make me a happy customer. The tech support guy had me e-mail a couple of photos; one portrait, one landscape and claimed the engineers would get back to me; but they haven’t.

If you’re trying to decide between the Samsung and the Sony Bravia, I think the Wiselink feature is enough to tip the scales to the Samsung.
