    Customer Reviews:
    technology not there yet
speakers were very “tin” sounding. if you improved the speakers this would be a great product. i would be willing to sacrifice small size for better sound quality.

    random/shuffle problem
Our daughter had a T-7 for a couple years but was ready for upgrade. We bought her a T10 for Christmas. Our son got a T9 last year and liked it so we figured the T10 would be even better. It seemed neat, had lots of nice options and sounds good BUT the big problem our daughter experienced was with the shuffle function. It played the same songs over and over in the same order and did not play all songs. We contacted Samsung in search of a solution for the malfunction but could not get support. Sent the T10 back and bought the YP-S5J which daughter thought was even cooler because of the speakers. It has the same random/shuffle malfunction. Always starts on same song and plays songs in same order. Does anyone have an idea how to correct the problem? If there is not a solution we will have to return this product.

    Great item.
Purchase this item for my wife at Christmas. She really thinks it is a great player. The sound that it puts out is great. Highly recommend. The shipment of this item was excellent.

    Awesome sound quality, speakers decent
Sound quality surpasses or equals any iPods I have listened to. Very decent player. Lacks the ‘extras’ that the iPod has though, but I tend to just listen to music when jog/run/cook etc and don’t care the extras.

Great to play in cars too.

On songs recorded at >128Kbps, the speakers in 3D mode are just simply awesome. Lower bit rates tend to sound flat on the speakers.

The accompanying headphones were of average quality, and tended to respond too much to treble in comparison to bass. I replaced these with the JBuds Noise-canceling head phones from Amazon ( about $20)…and the combination is simply awesome.

Overall a good audio product, but does not have the frills you tend to expect from today’s audio players.

    Exceptional product
This is an excellent, easy to use mp3 player. It is the size of a cell phone and may be too big for people who want to use it in a gym, but, otherwise, it is spectacular. The sound is great. It is just right for travel and normal listening situations. If the user wants to feel like he is at a rock concert, this is not the player. For everyone else, this should be a great device. Navigation is easy, and it syncs with Rhapsody very well.

    Customer Reviews:
Too small for camera Amazon pushes for this case
Amazon gives a “Customers Who Bought This Item Also Bought” recommendation for this case under the Samsung NV11. Since I have the NV11, I bought the case. I mean, all those people couldn’t be wrong, could they?

But yeah, they were wrong. The NV11 just plain will not fit. If through some miracle you are able to force-fit the camera, it will be poorly protected.

Some cameras in the NV series may fit within this case just fine. But definitely NOT the NV11. Amazon should remove the link from “Customers Who Bought This Item Also Bought”…

    Nice
While snug, I have no problems getting my NV20 in and out. Good looking, well made case, not a cc of extra room for accessories, but I keep this in a bigger bag with all the accoutraments so this is perfect for what I intended.

    Does not fit the NV11
It is impossible to sqeeze the NV11 into this small camera case.

The magnetic closure is quite nice though. I wonder what to use this camera case for?

confirmed that this case is too small
Supporting previous reviews, this case does not fit the NV11,not even close, thus any quality descriptions are irrelevent. It is unfortunate that Amazon (and other camera shops) have an option to buy this case with this camera. However, the NV11 does need a case.

    2 stars for the leather
I bought this “Leather” camera case that is supposed to be made for the L series samsung cameras for my samsung L85, but the camera does not fit in the case because the case is too small. i dont think it is even real leather it hasnt got the smell of leather.

    Customer Reviews:
    AWESOME
There is not much I can say that has not been said, this is a great camera! I’m very new to DSLR, but the quality of the photo’s I have taken with this camera is great. I am very pleased, and it has brought me back into Photography! You can’t go wrong with this.

Excellent DSLR for the serious amatuer.
I’ve had this camera for three weeks and I absolutely love it. Excellent price from Amazon and I got a great refurbished 55-200mm VR teleophoto lens to supplement the kit lens. With what I saved on the camera I can continue to buy Nikkor lenses to give myself a full range of photographic tools.

    Great Picture Quality
I can’t believe my eyes that a SLR with less that $500.00 price can be so good. I bought it just three days and I love this. I take it where ever I go and the pictures comes great. I used mostly P/S/A and some times manual. And the picture quality is awesome. I was testing it tonight with almost no light at my room. I used tripod and the picture quality is like I taken it in a well-lit room. I am not professional or great photographer but I like to travel and like to take good pictures. And I think this is so far the best Camera for this price range. I was almost going to buy Nikon D80 but after reading lot of reviews I decided to try this and I am glad I decided to buy this camera. It saved my 400 $ and I can buy the 55-200VR lance with half of that price.

    Great Camera for the Price
I paid $480 for the D40 with an 18-55mm kit lens. For the price, this is a great DSLR ample storage, battery life, and speed. However the kit lens is very basic and doesn’t have vibration reduction. I will need to add better lenses to really take advantage of this camera. If I had it to do over I would probably spend a little extra and go with the D60 and some better lenses.

I just love my Nikon D40!
I have had my Nikon D40 since Nov of 2007 and I’ve been snappin away ever since. This is my first DSLR and I don’t see why anyone would need anything more expensive. I find the pictures are super and the functions are easy to understand and use. The menu is easy and if you don’t know how to use or what certain feature in the menu means, you hit the ?/ question button at the bottom of the camera while you are in menu mode and it tells you what you need to know. A built in maual! What a great thing. It’s helped me out a lot. There are so many more great things. One thing I can say that it does not have a live view of your image you are about to shoot but you get used to not having it. It is super easy to view it afterwards. Going back and forth from a shot phtot to the ready to shoot mode is quick and easy. Lens swapping is a breeze. Always keep handy a special lint and scratch or abrasive free cleaning cloth that is designed for lenses so you can keep your lens fingerprint and lint free. Always buy a UV fiter for each lens you buy and pay attention to your lens thread for buying the right filters. UV filters will protect your lenses from damaging fingerprints and scratches. Keep caps on when you are not using your camera. Protection Protection!!!

I find this camrea is a great camera for someone who is starting out in the Digital SLR phase of their lives.

You will find yourself buying more lenses. I use a Tarmon 300 mm lens made for the NIkon D40. http://www.tamron.com/lenses/prod/70300_di_a017.asp

Check out the product info. This lens is inexpensive and works fairly well.

THe kit lens 18- 55 mm lens is baisc but the photos are sharp.

If it is made by Nikon, its got to be great!

    Happy Camper!

    Customer Reviews:
    LOVE IT!
ok, I have to insert this caveat first: I’ve only had it one day. I will def add to this review as I own it for longer…. but here’s my take on this camera as of day one:

I researched the HECK out of this camera purchase. I was up in the air about this one and the 1100IS. I liked that this one had a bigger LCD screen over the 2.5″ screen the 1100IS has. The 1100IS has an optical viewfinder, but I didn’t find that to be a necessity for me.

One big selling point for the 870IS is the fact that it has a wide angle lens. (and of course the big LCD screen).

The 1100IS is smaller and slimmer, but in all actuality I like my cell phone, camera and other small electronics to not be TOO small otherwise I feel like I’m going to break them, drop them or lose them.

So on to the actual review. I got my 870is home last night and immediately popped the battery and extra SD card I’d bought into it and started snapping away. This camera boots up SUPER quick so if you see anj awesome photo op, you don’t have to wait agonizing moments for your camera to boot up while the moment potentially passes. With the flash on I was AMAZED at how fast the refresh rate was in between pics. (Considering I use to have a Nikon Coolpix 5600 that would refresh in 6-12 seconds this was SOOOOOOOOO much better!)

I snapped some ordinary quick pics of my family and kitchen which turned out great, full of color and clarity. Then I started to get into the effects menus and options.

The Color Accent mode has to by far be my favorite mode to shoot certain scenes with. I took a whole bunch of pics of my moms flowers with this mode (it’s really easy to pick up the color you want to accent once you read how to do it)…. I even took a pic of my yellow lab who wears a red collar and ONLY accented the color red…. so everything (including him) was black and white except his collar was a bright, rich red…. AWESOME picture!

I did get to use the macro mode a few times, I LOVE that mode too along with color accent. You can get SUPER close to your subject, and you don’t lose clarity.

I have yet to take any really good landscape pics or movement pics (this will come in a later update).

I’ve only chipped at the tip of the iceberg of what this camera is capable of doing…. and I can’t wait to figure out EVERY mode and setting on this (for the quick point and shoot person this camera also works because it is simple to point and shoot everyday photos)…. I’m the type who like to play around with manual settings a bit… this isn’t a full blown SLR by any means, but it does have some flexibility to it to play with the settings…. and so far I’m absolutely blown away by the richness, clarity and quickness of this camera.

So far, after owning this camera for one day and getting to play with it for 2-3 hours (read the manual a bit also) I LOVEEEEE this camera! I paid almost $300 for mine at Best Buy, I wasn’t going to take my chances with shipping it from some online store or trying to shop for it at the cheapest deal (cuz you never know what shape that camera is really in when you try and get the cheapest deal)….. I don’t mind the price either because I opened up Best Buys credit card and put the camera, case and extra SD card on it (All totalled about $350 final) and anything over $299 is 6 months no interest. So THAT was a deal enough for me to just get it at Best Buy and not try to find the CHEAPEST deal…..

I’ll write more of a review once I take this on vacation in three weeks and after I’ve had more time to play with it further and really sit down and read the manual about all the settings. :)

So far this is the best P&S I’ve seen to date!

I wanted to make a note that I read a lot about people complaining about the indoor pics being too dark in the background when you use the flash. Mine works fine and lights up what needs to light up. Of course the background is going to be dark when the flash focuses in on the main subject and lights that up. That just naturally happens with cameras. If I notice any sort of probs with mine I will make a note of it on here. But so far this camera works exactly how I wanted it to, has features I wanted AND more and FAR exceeded my expectations.

Loved the 3 inch LCD screen
I’ve looked at many new cameras and particularly loved the big LCD and the wide angle option. I’m still getting used to it and need to read more about the features.

    Great pocket camera
    Pros: Pic Quality, Wide Angle, 3″ Bright LCD;

    Cons: Battery life not impressive.

Good Camera - Quick Enough - Well Built
I have used many Digital camera, many makes. This is certainly one of the better ones for the buck. Easy to use, great battery life, quick but not great with indoor shots - gives it a 4 start. Still shopping for a small low priced camera that will take decent pictures indoors. For the price it’s a great camera for anyone.

    Awesome!!
I would recommend this camera to family and friends. My buddy talked me into getting a new one since I had a new baby on the way. I bought this camera with his advice and am very pleased. The image stabilization feature is perfect for low light when you don’t want to have the flash on.

    Love it.
